My latest blog post on sex differences in navigation abilities (written in German) is now online on SciLogs!
In my new blog post, I discuss psychological research on sex differences in navigation behavior. I summarize the results of a meta-analysis by the group of Nora Newcombe, which reports a small advantage for male participants when comparing them to females. I also touch upon a study from the groups of Michael Hornberger and Hugo Spiers. Their team used a mobile app to measure navigation skills in a video game. Players from countries all over the world contributed to this data set. This study reports that, across countries, sex differences in navigation proficiency correlated with the size of societal differences between the sexes.
